Waves is an unincorporated area and census-designated location in Dare County North Carolina, United States. It is located on Hatteras Island in North Carolina's Outer Banks. It had a population totaling 134 at the 2010 census. Waves are also part of Chicamacomico's settlement with Rodanthe, Salvo and Rodanthe.
