Bethany Beach, Delaware is a small town on the coast. The beach is known for its long, sandy boardwalk. Delaware Seashore State Park, located north of town, is a barrier-island with miles of beaches that stretches between Indian River and Rehoboth bays and the Atlantic Ocean. Fenwick Island State Park is to the south and has dunes as well as a surf area. Holts Landing State Park's shoreline, fields, and forests attract birds like osprey and herons.
