Carolina Beach is a coastal town in North Carolina. Carolina Beach State Park, located along the Cape Fear River, is home to fishing spots as well as the Flytrap Trail, named after the carnivorous plants that run its length. Carolina Beach Boardwalk has shops, restaurants, and amusement rides. Freeman Park, which is located on the Atlantic, has camping areas, sand dunes, and sea grass. The Federal Point History Center displays local culture.
