Siesta Key, a barrier island off the coast of Sarasota in the Gulf of Mexico is known as "Siesta Key". It is known for its sandy beaches. Siesta Beach is located near shops and cafes in Siesta Key Village. It has shallow waters, a playground, and tennis courts. Crescent Beach has access to Point of Rocks. These limestone outcroppings surround coral reefs and tidal pool areas. Turtle Beach is to the south has picnic areas and boat ramps.
