Stowe is located in northern Vermont. It is overlooked by Mount Mansfield which is known for its ski slopes and trails. The summit ridge can be reached via the Auto Toll Road. Smugglers' Notch State Park is located near the base. It has dense forest and a narrow mountain pass. With mountain views, the Stowe Recreation Path follows West Branch of Little River through town. The Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum displays ski gear and artifacts.
