Mars Hill is located in Madison County, North Carolina. According to the U.S. Census 2018, the population was 1,869, with a total of 2,032 estimated by the U.S. Census in 2018. It is home to Mars Hill University. The name was inspired by Acts 17.22. It is situated 15 miles north of Asheville.
